Biography
Born in 1968 in Maharashtra, Vijay Dupatre received a Government Applied Art Diploma from the Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya in Pune in 1995.
Dupatre has participated in the Bombay Art Society Exhibition of 1993 and more recently the Kala Ghoda Festival in Mumbai in 2001. He has been exhibiting solo since 1997, when his first show was held at the Balgandharva Kala Dalan in Pune. Since then, Dupatre has had solo exhibitions at Gallery Art Resource Trust, Mumbai, in 2000; Studio Art Gallery, Mumbai, in 2002 and 2003; and ‘Body Talk’ at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, in 2007.
